Once you're operating under Newcomb Transportation MC Authority as an Owner Operator:

You can choose to receive (for solo drivers) $1.02cpm (loaded & empty, all miles paid) + FSC. 100% fuel surcharge paid to the driver.

OR
85% - 90% of all line-haul revenues in Refrigerated, Flatbed & Van Divisions generated by your truck.

You'll get paid in one or two days after submitting all freight paperwork to Newcomb.

This Is How Easy To Get Started:

To Run In Our Fleet Your Tractor Must:

Be a recent model, no older than 7 years; but will accept older equipment if in excellent shape
Have a 275" (or shorter) wheel base, fifth wheel not higher than 48" and a stack height of at least 13'4"
Have a blind spot mirror, business-like paint color and custom equipment
License & Permits: Base plate and permits
Pass company visual inspection & meet Newcomb equipment requirements
Owner Operator provides all flatbed, Refrigerated equipment. Owner Operator provides headache rack
Must not weigh more than 19,000 pounds for Van Division with one-half tank fuel and 20,000 pounds for Flatbed Division Freight Brokerage, Logistics and Transportation

Owner Operators, Independent Contractors Must Provide:

Tractor: Must pass Company inspection and meet Newcomb equipment requirement
Driver: Must be 21 years old with recent verifiable tractor-trailer experience and pass all other Newcomb and DOT requirements
Expenses: All operating and maintenance cost of equipment furnished by operator. Advance and settlement deductions available after three month operation
Insurance: Proof of physical damage, cargo liability, auto liability, bobtail insurance.
Licensing Paper: Copy of title in your name and bill of sale to show cost of tractor
Weight certificate: 2290 Schedule I, showing payment of highway use tax (current year)
Deposit: Bond Deposit of $2000. (Will be deducted from settlements; Cash not required)

Mileage Pay:

The Mileage Pay gives you the freedom to hit the road and drive. We'll handle load assignments for you. That means you can focus on racking up miles, bringing home bigger settlements and making sure your small business is successful.

Carriers receive $1.02cpm (loaded & empty, all miles paid) + FSC. (base plates, insurance, fuel paid by the contractor)
Short-haul pay for loads under 300 miles; earn up to $1.65 per mile
Newcomb will deal with the freight paperwork so you can concentrate on your business making money
Fuel Purchase card with discount for in network purchases, available once requested. (Special fuel rebate might apply at selected suppliers)
If you want a Quick Pay option, we have two options to choose from. (service charges will apply)

You don't have to deal with trip-planning software or worry about assigning your own loads. Newcomb will take care of that, allowing you to focus on running your business. We have one of the largest freight bases in the industry, giving us the ability to optimize your loads and boost your bottom line.

Percentage Pay:

The Percentage Lease gives you control of your business and your bottom line. You select and manage your loads; you decide when and where you want to run. Newcomb's only requirement is that you are safe and compliant at all times. Available for Newcomb dispatch only 50% of the time

Carriers receive 85% of the Gross Line-Haul Revenue with 100% of Fuel Surcharge included (base plates, insurance, fuel paid by the contractor)
Newcomb will deal with the freight paperwork so you can concentrate on your business making money
Fuel Purchase card with discount for in network purchases, available once requested. (Special fuel rebate might apply at selected suppliers)
If you want a Quick Pay option, we have two options to choose from. (service charges will apply)

Owner-operators on the Percentage Pay can average revenue of $1000 + per day, depending how hard you want to drive.
