Job Description To provide each of your assigned residents with routine daily nursing care and services in accordance with the resident's assessment and care plan as a Certified Nursing Assistant CNA. $1,000 sign on bonus Conditions apply. Delegation of Authority As Certified Nursing Assistant, you are delegated the authority, responsibility, and accountability necessary for carrying out your assigned duties. Job Functions Assist residents with daily dental and mouth care (ie, brushing teeth/dentures, oral hygiene, special mouth care, etc.), with bath functions (ie, bed bath, tub or shower bath, etc) and with hair care functions (ie, combing, brushing, shampooing, etc.) Change bed linens. Keep linens tight to avoid wrinkles from forming under the resident Assist resident with bowel and bladder functions (ie, take to bathroom, offer bedpan/urinal, portable commode, etc) Assist residents in preparing for activity and social programs (ie church services, parties, visitors, etc) Change dressings, bandages, binders, etc., as instructed Ensure that residents who are unable to call for help are checked frequently Education & Qualifications Graduate of an accredited high school or GED preferred. Must possess an active Certified Nursing Assistant Certification; having successfully completed a State approved training program and necessary examination. Must provide documentation of certification upon application for position. A physical examination and/or evidence from a physician indicating freedom of communicable disease to be available upon employment.
